Fans of the film Cars should enjoy the new Fiat 600 because new images of the upcoming crossover reveal that it almost has eyelashes. This is the first time we’ve seen an unmasked vehicle in these images without a cover. The 2024 Fiat 600 is depicted in three images uploaded to the @cochespias Instagram account. The camera can be seen in the front of the first image. The reason the camouflage has been removed is likely because the model was being prepared for promotional materials.
Although the car has been tested before, these images demonstrate how eye-shaped the 600’s headlamps will be. They also display a piece of black trim that resembles an eyelash at the corner of the (for lack of a better term) eyelid. A set of lower lights (perhaps turn signals) beneath that serve as cheeks, and an upper grille beneath the 600 emblems resembles a mouth. The result is so profound that I half anticipate the new crossover will begin describing its encounter with Lightning McQueen.
A central trapezoid beneath the license plate lower on the vehicle may represent a sensor array for the advanced driver assistance capabilities of the crossover. Grilles on either side of it are probably used to provide the battery packs on the 600 with cooling air.
2024 Fiat 600 Small SUV Changes
Given that the architecture upon which the vehicle is built can accommodate both hybrid and electric powertrains, the model may also be powered by internal combustion engines in specific markets. In Europe, the electric version is most likely to be the main focus.
Although Stellantis has confirmed that the identically designed, all-electric Fiat 500 will be marketed in the United States, the company has not yet said whether its larger sibling, the 600, will follow. When the crossover is introduced later this year for the 2024 model year, we anticipate learning more.
It is anticipated that the next Fiat SUV would have dimensions not dissimilar to those of its Stellantis brothers, the Jeep Avenger and the Opel Mokka. As a sub-compact SUV, the 600 will cover a length between 4,084-4,151 mm (160.8-163.4 inches), with a wheelbase of roughly 2,560 mm (100.8 inches). These proportions will situate the 600 at the lower end of the sub-compact spectrum, making it smaller than the Fiat 500X, which is being replaced by a larger vehicle.
Our covert photographers have also recently taken photographs of the interiors of the Fiat 600 prototypes, giving us a look inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The photographs show a digital instrument cluster in the shape of a circular circle located behind the steering wheel, as well as an infotainment touchscreen measuring 10.25 inches. For the Fiat 500, Fiat is well-known for offering a variety of customizing options. These options can include vibrant interior accents, environmentally friendly upholstery materials, and Easter eggs with an Italian motif. It is reasonable to anticipate that the corporation will stick with the same strategy for the 600.
The CMP / eCMP architecture, which is already utilized in a variety of cars like the Jeep Avenger, Opel/Vauxhall Mokka, DS 3 Crossback, Peugeot 2008, and several different superminis, is anticipated to be employed in the construction of the 600. The same chassis is slated to underpin the next-generation Citroen C3 Aircross and the Alfa Romeo Brenero. The Fiat, Jeep, and Alfa Romeo models will be produced at the Tychy factory in Poland. These three models will have the most in common with one another of all of these automobiles.
It will most likely be powered by a single electric motor providing 154 horsepower (115 kW / 156 PS) and 260 Nm (191.8 lb-ft) of torque. It is anticipated that the commonly used 54 kWh battery pack would enable a WLTP driving range that is close to 400 kilometers (249 miles). Although there is no official information available at this time, Abarth may be working on a performance version of the car as well. This is a possibility even though there is currently no information available.
Because the platform is also compatible with powertrains that run on internal combustion, it is possible that certain markets could be offered the choice of a 1.2-liter engine that is a mild hybrid. Despite this, Fiat may decide to focus solely on electric vehicles, particularly in light of the significant price increases that internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered models of this size have experienced over the past year. This has minimized the price difference between ICE and EV equivalents, making electric models more appealing with the help of government subsidies.
2024 Fiat 600 Small SUV Revealed
As one of two new electric vehicles that will be introduced this year, the all-new Fiat 600 is slated to make its world premiere in the second half of 2023. Although the all-electric Fiat 500 is scheduled to arrive in North America in 2024, it is currently unknown whether or not the larger and more practical Fiat 600 will be included in the range at some point in the near or distant future.
