When the fourth-gen Kia Soultoto enters MY2024, it will get a complete facelift. The Kia Sorento 2024 will get a lot of upgrades inside and out. It should also continue to be available in hybrid and plug–in hybrid versions.
2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid Redesign
The Kia Sorento is a rugged yet modern vehicle. Its design elements reflect a middle ground between contemporary and traditional. It is bold and aggressive, but overall it has a masculine personality. The Kia Sorento will get a facelift that will add sophistication and uniqueness to its design elements. S. Korean spy photos show a new grille that looks a lot like Honda CR-V’s horizontal slits. Inspired by Telluride’s Telluride, the new vertically stacked headlights might have an inverted L shape at the top so that they point at the tiger nose grille.
The new Sorento’s side profile would look similar to the model from 2023. The only difference could be the addition of new 17-to-20-inch wheels. Two new designs have been revealed in spy photos with two-tone finishes. The C-pillar’s wave shape at its base is an attractive detail that was present in the 2023 model. It will likely continue with the facelift. The bumper and tail lamps may have been adjusted to match the new front.
Interior
The interior of the 2024 model seems to have a modernized dashboard. A pair of 12.3-inch seamless, curved screens that can be freely positioned on the dashboard could be the interior’s main highlight. This would also increase the size of the central display, which is 10.25 inches in diagonal in the 2023 model.
Although there is no evidence, the cockpit area is completely covered and the protrusions don’t leave any clues. It’s safe to assume that Kia has combined two high-definition touchscreens into a seamless curve. The new screens wrap around the driver and create a panoramic feel, making the interior appear more minimalist. A larger, multi-color head-up display with multiple colors could be another tech upgrade. It projects images equivalent to a 10-inch LCD screen (current model: 8.8 inches). The new model may also include a digital key.
Powertrain
The 1.6-liter T–GDi engine-based hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains will be carried over to the 2024 Kia Sorento. The hybrid variant is available in FWD or AWD drivetrain layouts and produces 227 horsepower and 258 lb. ft. of torque. AWD-only plug-in hybrid variant produces 261 horsepower and 258 lb. ft. of torque. The 2024 model could see efficiency-related upgrades to these systems.
The hybrid variant uses a 1.5-kWh battery for its electric motor, while the plug-in hybrid variant uses a 14-kWh battery. The EPA-est can be achieved by the rechargeable electrified version. The pure electric range is 32 miles The 2023 Sorento Hybrid has an EPA-est. The combined fuel economy is 37 MPG (FWD), and 34 MPG (AWD) for the Sorento Hybrid, while the EPA-est. of the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, 2023 is 37 MPG. combined fuel economy is 79 MPGE. These figures won’t change much with the facelift.
2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid Price & Competitors
The price of the 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid is approximately USD 38,000. While the price of the 2024 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid is around USD 51,000, it could be as low as USD 38,000. In their respective base configurations, the outgoing hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs are priced at USD 36,690, and USD 49,990, respectively. Prices do not include destination or handling fees (currently USD 1 325)
The Santa Fe Hybrid, now made in the U.S.A., will be a competitor for the 2024 Sorento Hybrid. The Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid is up against the 2024 Sorento Hybrid. The prices include all taxes. The prices for the Hyundai models are USD 35,910 and US 42,110.
