Honda Passport 2024 will be receiving a few minor updates. The modern mid-size crossover will be available in the second half of 2023. We expect minor or mild upgrades on top of that. A passport is a comfortable vehicle that can accommodate five people in two rows. It has a V6 engine with four trim levels and a comfortable interior.
2024 Honda Passport Redesign
The nameplate has been available for nearly three decades. The current generation was introduced four years ago. The new generation Passport is therefore not far off. The next generation will still receive some minor updates. The Passport SUV sits between the Honda CR-V, a smaller model, and the Honda Pilot, a larger model.
Engine
Performance-wise, the 3.5-liter gas engine that powers the Honda Passport 2024 is still strong. This engine is capable of producing up to 280 horsepower and 26 lb.-ft. torque. The engine is old and will be replaced soon. A new engine option will not be available on the 2024 Passport. The same 9-speed transmission is also in place. The transmission shifts quietly and smoothly, while the ride quality is excellent.
Honda has not officially announced that all trim levels will come standard with AWD. The mid-size SUV segment averages 19 mpg city and 24 highway. Maximum towing capacity is around 5,000 pounds. A new engine will be released in 2025MY.
Interior
The cabin of the next Honda Passport 2024 could be completely redesigned. The interior layout will not change and the vehicle will still have a five-seat configuration with two rows. The dimensions of the vehicle and the cabin space remain the same because the architecture remains the same. Honda also wants to use higher-end materials. Don’t expect a major update anytime soon.
Entry-level models are still equipped with an 8-inch infotainment screen, Bluetooth, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. The upper trim levels include leather seats, Wi-Fi, and ambient lighting, as well as a sunroof. Honda will offer a new infotainment and driver assistance system as an optional feature.
Exterior
The new Honda Passport 2024 will maintain its boxy design and modern styling. A facelift is expected to be minor. Honda will deliver cosmetic updates, such as new exterior colors, to its customers. The front fascia, which includes a wider grille, will also receive minor changes.
Black Edition and TrailSport trim levels will be available. You can select between the standard design or a sportier or more elegant appearance. The current platform will be used, and so Passport SUV is still a midsize model.
2024 Honda Passport Release Date & Price
The Honda Passport 2024 will cost approximately $44,000. The price will therefore remain unchanged. The next-generation model isn’t too far off, and we expect it to arrive late in 2024. Honda will release the 2024MY this summer.
