Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation about the upcoming 2024 Honda CRV, several exciting rumors are flying around about the vehicle’s existence. First, the SUV may likely get a Type R tag, although it’s unclear whether the company would be making one – or not. Second, the ride may get several engine options, including hybrid and even electric. Is it true or not? We can’t tell for now, although we can be hopeful about it.
The Existence of the CRV
It’s pretty surprising when the CRV is said to have impressive sales numbers, surpassing the already popular Accord and Civic in the American auto market. Many buyers look for a reliable family ride that isn’t only affordable and practical. Not to mention that the CRV undoubtedly has premium safety features that make it equal to the CX-5 (Mazda) and RAV4 (Toyota).
2024 Honda CRV Redesign
Most parts of the 2024 model won’t be changed much, but expect a slight update and improvement for the line. Most parts of the 2024 model won’t be changed much, but expect a minor update and progress for the line. Although the improvement is subtle, the vehicle may get a slightly redesigned project. The safety features for a starter would be upgraded, and the exterior appearance would be improved. What about the powertrain? It’s unclear, but a hybrid powertrain may be expected.
2024 Honda CRV Hybrid
The 2024 Honda CRV would run on one powertrain option with a four-cylinder turbocharged unit of 2.0-liter capacity, delivering 272 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The top speed is around 15 mph, reaching 60 mph within 6.5 seconds.
There have been several rumors about the hybrid powertrain. It would help if you kept in mind that the CRV has one of the most demanding engines in the industry despite the size and compact dimension. It would be great if Honda does offer hybrid power. But up until now, they haven’t mentioned a hybrid possibility, although rumors say they are planning one.
2024 Honda CRV EV
Aside from the possibility of hybrid power (most likely the plug-in hybrid powertrain), there is also a rumor about Honda developing an electric vehicle. But this one may not be likely true, at least for now. If Honda is going to offer a new hybrid system, it’s expected that they will focus on it and may try electric power next time. But who knows? Their future models may get electrification, but not likely in 2024.
The Interior Cabin
The current model has an understated and modest cabin, which is pretty standard and general. The CRV may not come with the (sloping) back roofline, resulting in a more generous place. Expect standard features like LED foglights, rear privacy glass, and also power sunroof. LED multi-reflector lamps would be traditional, although the hybrid models are said to come with halogen. Safety driving technologies should also improve although Honda said nothing about this feature, you should expect more advanced capabilities and abilities from the new CRV.
2024 Honda CRV Release Date
The price is expected to start from around $25,500. Expect the new ride to have an increase in cost to about $300, give or take. The EX is expected to set more than $257,000, while the EX-L may be more than $30,000. We can’t tell about the price range because Honda hasn’t provided one.
For the release date, since the CRV is designed as the 2024 model, it’s most likely that the debut will start in 2023. It’s pretty logical if it happens after the middle of 2023, but we can’t tell. Hopefully, Honda will provide more detailed information about their upcoming 2024 Honda CRV soon enough.
