What is happening to the upcoming 2024 Kia Stinger model? The Stinger is designed as a big sedan with excellent handling and a smooth engine. It’s a part of the luxury sedan line created to compete against European luxury vehicles. Many people say that it (fundamentally) shares similarities to the sedan Genesis G70. But what is happening to the upcoming model? Will there be any redesigned work? Will there be an improvement?
The Possible Redesigned Work
Remember that the Kia Stinger is a big sedan, which has a spacious cabin and a big luggage area. However, the company is trying to improve the visual style to make it more appealing and attractive. They are designing the rear room with a catchy fastback roofline, which is aesthetically appealing. It looks great, but the design conceals the hatchback’s spacious area, luggage area, and liftgate. You can say that the overall look and design are pretty fantastic.
As was mentioned before, the Stinger is designed to compete against the European brands, which means that it would be a solid rival against Beemer 4 Series, Audi S5, and Mercedes Benz C-Class. Stinger isn’t officially regarded as a somewhat accurate (and genuine) sports sedan despite its many promising features and natural strength. Stinger is a famous ride, but the sales numbers have never met the expected level.
One of their strategies is to make changes. It includes the introduction of GT lines. Some people speculate that 2024 may come with the GT4 line. It’s hard to tell for now, though, because Kia hasn’t provided any details.
Powertrain and Performance
If everything goes as planned, the future 2024 Kia Stinger will likely come with three different powertrains. Kia decided to keep the V6 twin-turbocharged unit (with 3.3-liter capacity) intact. They will keep it because the team can generate 368 hp and 376 Nm of torque. The Stinger can reach 60 mph within 4.7 seconds. This is a pretty impressive number.
For the GT lines, the company may use the turbocharged unit. But the initially 2.0-liter capacity would be improved to a 2.5-liter total because it would improve performance. It is meant to increase speed, with 300 hp and 311 Nm of torque. It can reach 60 mph within 5.2 seconds. Kia hasn’t mentioned anything detailed about its plans, but many sources said that the company is no longer considering the differences between the full GT and GT lines. After all, they aren’t significant or many, so the four-cylinder is somewhat more interesting.
Design and Layout
You must admit that the future Stinger has a great combination of aesthetic design and simple (visual) appeal. The exterior model comes with the (iconic) tiger nose grille and (smoked) chrome finish. There would also be two distinct designs for the headlamps, enabling buyers to equip their options with the standard front lights.
The GT range would get a new dashboard for the interior cabin that would match the reflector headlights. Modern tires would likely be coming, but it is unclear whether there would be a bigger wheel size. Whether those tires have new patterns or a new spoke, there is no information about it. But rumor has it that the new interior Stinger may get leather treatment. Let’s be hopeful.
Price and Release Date
The 2024 Kia Stinger is expected to be available in 2023, after the middle year. The price may start from around $36,000. The higher trim would be GT1, set at $43,000, while the highest is GT2 which is sold for around $52,000.
