The upcoming 2024 Jeep Wrangler will go electric for their future production, which is exciting for those waiting for the electrification vehicle. According to the company, the Wrangler may not be the first ever electric Jeep, but it would be the most promising (and also the most convenient) one ever produced by them.
2024 Jeep Wrangler EV
Jeep has confirmed they are going on a full electric mode for their future Wrangler. And even they are excited about the idea! They have tested the water with the plug-in hybrid 4xe, which has shown their way halfway to their complete planning of full electrification. According to the company, their upcoming Wrangler would be a powerful and efficient 4×4 complete electric vehicle that can deliver promising performance. For them, the all-electric Wrangler would be ideal for the forthcoming production. Plus, it will strip off their guilt of having to produce an offroader ride that delivers quiet performance and a thrilling experience.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Magneto
For their upcoming 2024 Jeep Wrangler, two vehicles would be planned for release. The first is named the Magneto, while the second is Magneto 2.0. They are based on the EV Wrangler concept that the company has shown within the Easter Safari offroad annual pilgrimages – heading to Moab, Utah.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Updates
Regarding the platform, the first Magneto was able to show proof that it’s possible to pack up electric power within the solid and big building of the Wrangler. The motor is under the hood with north and south orientation (and driving). There would be (a two-speed) transfer case as well as a manual transmission. Magneto’s performance was breathtaking and hypnotizing.
The concept ride Magneto wasn’t powerful or punchy. Its output was ‘only’ 285 hp and 273 Nm of torque. It performs similarly to the primary Wrangler running on a V6 unit. That’s why Jeep improves. Even the Magneto 2.0 would be coming with improved power and ability. Rumor has it that the Magneto 2.0 would have a better motor and an improved one (into the axial flux) that can deliver 625 hp and 850 Nm of torque.
If looking at the concept, the Magneto would come with four battery packs and manual 6-speed transmission. However, many have expected the Wrangler to utilize a more traditional mechanism, which includes one (or even more) electric motor, a single (battery) pack, and no transmission. Let’s see if Jeep wants to address this wish from the loyal fans.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Interior
Whether the EV would come with a two-door body design or four doors remains unclear. However, many enthusiasts are sure that the interior space would be essential and applies to the dashboard layout. The EV may look just the same as the current Wrangler. The EV may have a removable roof and doors for better driving comfort.
Release Date and Price
If the upcoming Wrangler comes with the same trim levels as the current one, some predictions have been made. The Sport, for instance, as the basic trim, would start at around $50,000. Freedom would be about $55,000, while the Sahara would be about $60,000. The Rubicon would be $65,000, while the Magneto would be $70,000 as the highest trim.
Details about the release date haven’t been released. But since the 2024 Jeep Wrangler is designed as the 2024 model, expect it to arrive in 2023.
