2024 Acura TLX Reviews

Acura’s luxury division, Acura, will sell the Acura TLX in 2024. It is a four-door entry-level sedan. The TLX replaces the TLX and TSX. The Acura TLX first appeared at Acura’s Los Angeles Design Studio in the TLX Prototype. It was a sedan that would replace the TLX and TSX sedans.

The basic model was followed by the Technology, ASpec, Advanced, and Type S. Each of these models had a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a 10-speed transmission and front-wheel-drive. Acura’s SHAWD system can be ordered. The 2024 TLX Type S is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged, V6 engine. It also comes standard with SH-AWD. TLX has also taken a step forward. The engine is slower and more thirsty than its rivals, but it is the touchpad controller that can frustrate the infotainment systems.

Acura TLX 2024 is a premium compact car that will compete with several other cars, such as the BMW 3 Series and Genesis G70. Other competitors include Lexus IS, Aseveralvo S60, and Kia Stinger. The TLX is equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder standard engine that produces 272 horsepower. It also has an all-wheel-drive (AWD), which provides extra grip on slippery roads.

Acura’s AWD system is technically called Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, which sounds like Sonic the Hedgehog would fit in a daily driver. This system, despite its name, delivers super handling, and the TLX has excellent balance and quietness. The TLX is a surprising value in comparison to other luxury sedans of similar size. Every TLX comes with a 10.2-inch infotainment display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, synthetic-leather seating surfaces, heated rear seats, a heated front seat, Wi-Fi, and a sunroof. Standard features include a full array of active safety and driver assistance.

Attention: the infotainment is controlled by a touchpad. It has a steep learning curve. Some rival luxury sedans offer more rear legroom, but we believe the TLX has enough room for adults if they aren’t all NBA starting centers. If you want to significantly improve the Acura TLX, consider the Type S. It comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that delivers 355 horsepower through a 10-speed transmission to all four tires.

This is a fun and fast luxury sports sedan with Brembo brakes that are stronger, a sportier suspension, and 20-inch alloys. This latest generation TLX will be the star of the show after several years of being pushed to the back against such strong competitors.

Interior

The 2024 TLX interior has a sporty design with an expressive look. The instrument cluster features attractive analog instruments as well as a rotary mode selector. Acura’s superior build quality is evident in the TLX, which features improved materials, such as open porous wood, and genuine aluminum.

The rear seat is smaller than other cars in the same class. The front seats can be easily moved and the driver has a good view of the road ahead. The Acura TLX 2024 offers an array of interior colors and leather seats as well as desirable features. Each TLX features a 10.2-inch infotainment system controlled primarily via the touchpad on the center console.

Each TLX is equipped with a 10.2-inch infotainment screen that can be controlled by the touchpad located on the center console. The TLX is equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. The Advance package is for those who want to have the best ELS sound system with a wireless charging pad. Honda will develop more EVs based on their own EV Platform called e-Architecture. Honda plans to release the e-architecture EV in the second half of the 2020s.

Engine

The TLX comes standard with a 272 horsepower 4-cylinder engine, and a 355-horsepower V6 engine, which is also available. Both engines come with a 10-speed transmission programmed to 10 speeds. The base engine is plenty powerful, and buyers will be happy with it. Transmission is responsive, but shifts are slow in manual mode.

Acura TLX 2024 gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 31 mpg highway for the base engine and front-wheel drive models. This is an EPA-estimated estimate for mid-size luxury vehicles. All-wheel-drive models are estimated to be 21/29 mpg on the highway/city, while V6-powered cars see their estimates fall to 19/25.

Safety

Acura TLX was awarded the highest award by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Top Safety Pick+. The TLX was given the highest rating of Good in all six crash tests, and also for the way its headlights illuminated the road ahead. IIHS uses a different scale to evaluate collision avoidance features. Superior gave the Acura TLX it’s highest rating for the frontal collision prevention system.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the 2024 TLX a five-star overall rating for its safety in tests of frontal crashes, side impacts, and rollovers. The 2024 Acura Tlx comes with several safety features, including crash spot monitoring, adaptive Cruise Control, and emergency brakinseveral-keeping assistance. Other features include a rearview camera, collision alert, high beams, rain sensor wipers, rear traffic alarm, perimeter parking camera systems, head-up displays, and parking sensors.

2024 Acura TLX Price & Release Date

The standard front-wheel-drive (FWD), Acura TLX 2024, starts at about $38,000. It’s an excellent deal when compared with rival sedans like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi. This level of power is a turbocharged 4-cylinder with 272 horsepower, coupled with a 10-speed auto. Budget around $2,200 if you want to add an all-wheel-drive (AWD).

The added speed and power of the V6-driven TLX Type S require a significant price increase. The price of the 4-cylinder turbo is much less expensive, but we still love the extra vibrancy.
