Many people have been waiting for the updates for the 2024 Dodge Charger. After the company has decided to turn to electrification models, even for their muscle vehicles, plans have been set up and are in motion. Electrification certainly changes everything, but will it still be able to maintain the strength, power, and speed of the iconic muscle vehicle? This is the question that needs severe search and answer.
2024 Dodge Charger Concept
The company showed off its future Dodge Charger concept within the (high-performance) Daytona SRT trim level. The Charger has its reputation as the brawniest muscle ride in the business, so electrifying it would be a challenge. It IS a big challenge for the company, but it turns out that the hard work and everything have paid it off. Not only can the Charger maintain its muscle construction, but it will also deliver punchy performance and fantastic speed.
2024 Dodge Charger Redesign
The future 2024 Dodge Charger is most likely constructed on the big electric platform (the one that Stellantis make), which is said to cover 500 miles of destination in electric power only. Although the company hasn’t provided detailed info about the powertrain, there is a teaser video on Youtube concerning the Daytona SRT trim.
In terms of design and layout, the overall design and style would be inspired by the classic Charger (and also Challenger) models, with the Fratzog logo returned to the scheme. The traditional technique was used in the 60s and 70s models. The new Charger seems to be designed as a (tow door) coupe, which is different from the current generation. It would also come with a liftback trunk. To ensure that it embraces the SRT concept, a unique (and other) chambered exhaust system would be designed to imitate the roaring Hellcat supercharged SRT V8 model. After all, electric vehicles can’t produce roaring sound, can they?
Trims and Prices
The Charger is now designed as a two-door model, but it’s possible that there would be a four-door model joining the variants. But then again, we don’t know for sure until Dodge provides an official release. The base trim would be the SXT, with an estimated price of around $60,000. The higher trim would be the GT with the tag of $70,000. Then there would be the R/T with $85,000 and Daytona SRT (the highest trim) with $95,000.
The price for the Charger would be more premium than the gas-powered models. Although details are still shady, the SRT and R/T would be the performance versions. We should wait for Dodge to provide more information, including the trim levels and the features.
Powertrain and Performance
The company hasn’t revealed any information about the performance and the horsepower, but everyone knows that SRT Daytona uses an 800V all-wheel driving system known as the Banshee. There is also the multi-speed transmission, which Porsche Lycan likely inspired. This feature differentiates the Charger from other EVs since most of them may use the typical direct drive system. The arrangement is made to provide better performance and overall improvement.
Interior Cabin
The Charger would come as a coupe with a theory or arrangement based on the rendered image. The liftback trunk lid style would provide direct access to the oversized cargo area. If you want extra room for the cargo, you can fold the rear seat flat. There is a possibility of a remarkable shift level with a pistol grip model, an enormous panoramic sunroof from glass, and others. Expect a nice mix of retro style and modern technology within the cabin. The 2024 Dodge Charger sounds like a good improvement from the current model, and it’s nice to wait for the updates.
