We consider the 2024 Porsche Spyder RS to be one of the best roadsters in the 718 Series due to its incredible performance and appearance. Front and rear views give the impression of a supercar. This car can be used for a walk or collection. We’d love to see “Spyder” improved. We are looking forward to the 2024 Porsche Spyder RS. If Porsche plans to produce it. We are interested in the design of the car.
Exterior
The outside of the 2024 Porsche Spyder RS must be spectacular. It looks just like any other Porsche supercar with its typical design. The rear looks like a Lamborghini but with a slightly different design. Porsche was forced to put in everything, including the smallest details, like a muscular and sleek body. This car was a cabriolet, even though it had a roof. We believe this is our best chance at the moment.
Interior
What else should you expect from a Porsche Spyder RS? If properly made, we believe Porsche won’t disappoint. Materials used, especially the seats in a sports model must be high quality. The cockpit pads are equipped with complex controls that ensure the car runs smoothly. Air conditioning, infotainment, and other comforts are important.
Engine
The 2024 Porsche Spyder RS can’t perform worse than the 2022 Porsche 718 Spyder. We wished Porsche had made it even better. We expect the Spyder RS, using this engine to produce over 414 horsepower at 7,600 rpm. This is enough to surpass the performance of the 718 Spyder 2022.
Connectivity and Infotainment
This vehicle’s entertainment system and connectivity must be high-quality and comprehensive. Even though we do not believe that this vehicle needs entertainment, it is still a good idea to have one. You must be sure that you have an infotainment system with a standard size and all the usual functions in a car of this kind. This is not something we have high expectations for.
We’re lost for words when it comes to features. Porsche will provide the best features in this area. We can only wish that they will offer the most advanced and up-to-date features available today. The 2024 Porsche Spyder RS should perform better, and be more attractive.
Open Air, 9000 RPM, 493 Horsepower
Porsche confirms rumors that a GT4 RS-equivalent is in the works. The Spyder RS is a droptop. There are a few other differences but Porsche states in their press materials that they are the same powertrain. The 4.0-liter 6-cylinder can rev up to 9000rpm, producing 493 horsepower and a torque of 331 pound-feet. This gives it an advantage of 79 horsepower over the 718 Spyder, which is already powerful.
The Spyder RS, like every modern Porsche bearing the RS designation, will be only available with Porsche’s seven-speed PDK automatic. The ratios were shortened, just like the Cayman’s, to improve acceleration. Porsche claims that the new RS is going to match the Cayman on a paper claim of 3.2 seconds to 60 mph. These are conservative estimates, and we think that the new RS is more likely to achieve the 2.8 seconds we achieved in our GT4 RS testing last spring.
The new RS chassis is a mix between the Cayman GT4 RS and the 718 Spyder. The car comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management and sport calibration as standard, plus it has been lowered by 1.2 inches. The car has a mechanically limited-slip diff at the back, ball-jointed mountings for suspension and 20-inch center-locking forged alloy wheels. The spring and damper rates are lower than the GT4 RS. This will probably affect lap times but also give the car a “more relaxed, convertible-style setup”.
The front end of the new RS is designed to be nearly identical to the front of the GT4 RS with a slightly shorter carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic splitter at the front to account for the lack of a wing at the rear. An enlarged and reshaped Ducktail spoiler is used to increase downforce at the back.
The Weissach package offers even greater weight savings. All of the carbon fiber parts are replaced, including the front hood and door mirror caps as well as upper and lower air intakes and Gurney flaps on duckbill. Porsche claims that the titanium exhaust included in the Weissach package is inspired by its limited-edition Porsche 935 of 2018.
Intentional Weight Savings
Porsche has been concentrating on weight savings as this is a RS model. Fabric door straps are used instead of interior handles. When the weather is nice, drivers can lower the soft top manually to enjoy the Spyder RS with the top down. If the weather is not cooperating, you will have to leave your car to secure it again. The top is just under 40 pounds, a 16-pound reduction compared to the standard Spyder.
The new Spyder RS, when it arrives in dealerships, will have a price of $162.150 as its starting point. Porsche will hold the public debut of the car in a celebration on June 20th before the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This is a $20,000 price premium compared to the Cayman GT4 RS’ equivalent starting price. Porsche has always excelled at making customers pay more money for less.
