Early next year, the upcoming Porsche Macan EV 2024 will debut with its new electric drivetrain. The Macan SUV is stylish and supported by the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) modular architectural design. If you didn’t know, Porsche and Audi designed this platform.
Other future models in the Volkswagen Group could be expected to use the same platform variants. We don’t yet know much about the vehicle’s performance. Porsche claims that the Macan SUV will be able to accommodate a charger of 350 kilowatts, which is impressive. Here’s what we know so far about the new Macan electric SUV.
2024 Porsche Macan EV Redesign
According to the first spy pictures, the next 2024 Porsche Macan has several improvements over the current model. The new 2024 Porsche Macan EV has a revised fascia with a small closed grille and headlamps which are similar in shape but have new graphics. The front fascia looks more distinct and modern.
Spy photos also show a unique rear bumper. Porsche is improving, particularly in the aerodynamics area, so you can expect a sporty look. The camouflage will soon be removed and we hope Porsche will release new wheels with larger diameters and new exterior colors.
Interior
The interior of the 2024 Porsche Macan EV will be similar to the Macan SUV. To set this model apart, the manufacturer will add high-quality parts. The SUV features a comfortable cabin with a 10.9-inch infotainment screen as standard. It is also one of the most upscale models in its segment.
The SUV comes with a lot of standard features, such as Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth. Macan EV comes with a lot of standard luxury features. Some premium features are optional, but the EV will have a more upright design than the other trim levels.
Driving Range and Charging
The new 2024 Porsche Macan EV is one of the many models that will be built on the new platform created by Volkswagen Group. Porsche claims that the Macan will be able to charge at 350 kilowatts, giving it a 250-mile range in just 20 minutes. Macan EV can also charge in four minutes and provide 60 miles of range. The manufacturer also demonstrated a more powerful 450-kW charger, which can provide 60 miles in just three minutes.
Unfortunately, we do not know the exact power of this SUV. Porsche plans to continue selling the gasoline Macan alongside the electric version of the Macan for several more years. Three distinct configurations are available. The standard engine is a 2.0-liter turbo four engine with 260 horsepower. Upgrade to the S version and you can get a twin-turbo 2.9-liter engine with 375 horsepower. The GTS’s 434-horsepower engine is the most powerful.
2024 Porsche Macan EV Price & Release Date
The price of the new Porsche Macan EV 2024 will be higher than the Macan GTS, which costs $80,000. The high price is not surprising, as it’s a luxury SUV that has an all-electric drivetrain. Macan EV is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2023.
