The 2024 Aston Martin Valhalla is a mid-engine hypercar that will feature a hybrid powertrain similar to the Ferrari SF90. Exterior features include a modified version of the company’s grille, slippery bodywork, and a carbon fiber engine cover. The Valhalla’s unique nature will be further enhanced by the addition of carbon fiber to its central tub. A twin-turbo V-8 from Mercedes-AMG and a plug-in-hybrid system together produce 937 horsepower. Aston claims a top speed of 217 mph, and a time of 2.5 seconds zero-to-62 mph. 2022 Valhalla will also feature an EV mode. However, it will have a very limited all-electric range.
2024 Aston Martin Valhalla Review
The Valhalla will look very different from the version that was briefly codenamed AM-RB 003 but was teased previously as the 003. Although there is still much to be learned, the final version will feature an AMG-sourced engine as well as a six-digit price tag. The actual model won’t be available to customers until the second quarter of 2023, making it likely that it will become a 2024 model.
Engine
The Valhalla will be equipped with a powerful plug-in-hybrid engine. The Valhalla’s core will feature a twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 engine with an exclusive flat-plane crank design. It was sourced from Mercedes-AMG. The engine will power the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
A front-wheel electric motor will also be powered by the transmission. Another will be integrated into it. The combined output of the Valhalla is estimated to be 937 horsepower. The electrically assisted gearbox will have an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential and an electric reverse. The car’s frame will be made of carbon fiber to save weight. The car will also have adaptive dampers and two-stage Springs that can be set to ultra-low track modes. Carbon-ceramic brakes are standard. The Valhalla’s striking design will likely be complemented with out-of-this-world handling.
Connectivity and Infotainment
We know very little about Valhalla’s infotainment system. It will support Aston’s new user interface. This touchscreen interface will be the first of its kind. We also expect it will offer software like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A powerful audio system and built-in navigation should also be available.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Valhalla will feature a variety of driver assistance features that are not found on more extreme vehicles. It will also have traditional side mirrors. However, the interior of the cabin will include a camera-based rearview monitor. Visit the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for more information on Valhalla’s crash test results. The following safety features are key:
- Automated emergency braking is available
- Available adaptive control
- Available blind-spot monitoring
Charging, Gas Mileage, and Battery Life
While the exact gas mileage and battery life of the Aston Martin Valhalla have not yet been released, we do know that it will be a very fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly car. Valhalla’s engine has been designed to be very efficient. The battery pack will reduce emissions and help fuel consumption.
2024 Aston Martin Valhalla Price & Release Date
Aston Martin will only build 999 Valhallas and each one will cost approximately $800,000. We are still optimistic that Aston Martin will also make an open-top version. We wouldn’t be able to afford it.
