Although there is not much information available about the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, the compact SUV is definitely on the way. Although there have been several images of the vehicle on the net, the company themselves haven’t mentioned anything specific about the development. And based on those images, auto enthusiasts have been comparing it to the Blazer EV, which is almost similar in an instant.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV
Chevrolet plans on developing Equinox as their upcoming EV lineup as a part of their global electrification project. The Equinox EV has an exciting design, beautiful lines, and decent ground clearance from the images. The compact SUV comes with popup door handles – which you can’t find on even costlier Blazer EVs. That’s why you can expect new sophisticated development for Equinox.
The Updated Plan
The new 2024 Chevrolet Equinox may come with the nameplate, but expect something different. Not only will it come with electric power, but there will also be different styles and designs on the interior and exterior. The exterior area would have futuristic designs that blend nicely with traditional crossover cues. Chevrolet may also offer the Bolt EUV, which is even smaller but lacks an all-wheel driving system. The Equinox EV may come with two electric motors and a more robust outcome than the Bolt, which can generate ‘only’ 200 hp.
Design and Layout
When compared to the Blazer EV, it’s evident that Equinox is smaller. Both of them may share the Ultium architecture, but the Equinox is somewhat shorter and also shorter than the Blazer. But it doesn’t mean that it’s lame or cheesy. With the Ultium platform as the main construction, you can rest assured that the Equinox will be punchy and powerful, as expected.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox Engine
The Ultrium platform has promising (and unique) flexibility, especially related to various powertrain output offerings, and it includes the battery sizes across the GM lineup’s models. The company has released teaser images concerning Equinox coming in multiple trims, although they showcase the Super Sport trim. Compared to Blazer EV SS, the Super Sport may not be as punchier, but it’s still powerful enough with its great nimble ability and a slighter stance. It would be super fun to drive and control. It’s said to cover 300 miles distance with one motor and the most extensive battery package possible.
Price and Release Date
Rumor has it that the starting price may be around $30,000, but we aren’t sure about it. Considering that the vehicle is packed with all the good stuff, it’s hard to believe it would start at such a low price. But if it’s true, then GM won’t have to worry about a thing because Equinox would be a popular pick.
For the price range, it’s unclear about the trim levels available. But the new Equinox is said to be all-electric and a new variant, coming in 2023 (fall time) as the modern 2024 model. The base trim would be the LT, with a starting price of around $30,000, while the higher edge would be the RS, set at about $40,000. We only know two possible trim levels, but there may be more along the way. Lineup expansion is always possible with the base LS trim or the Premier top-level trim.
Interior Comfort
It seems that the digital dashboard of the upcoming Equinox would be similar to the Bolt EV (hatchback) or Silverado EV, but since the company hasn’t said anything about it, we can’t be sure. Let’s wait for further releases about the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV, shall we?
