The upcoming 2024 Cadillac CTS would be one of the performance sedans still manufactured to please specific target markets. Although the American auto market is now packed and swarmed with SUVs, crossovers, and trucks, Caddy still has the opportunity for the sedan. They decide that they are going to make a luxury vehicle in the form of a sedan without compromising features and abilities. So, what is the take on the new CTS Caddy? What would it be like?
The Updated Plan
The Cadillac CTS has been known for its complete package. It has a superb comfort level and terrific (dynamic) handling. There would be three different engine options for the CTS V line, including the punchy V6 twin-turbo 3.6 liters, the V6 naturally aspirated smooth and responsive, and the snappy four-cylinder turbo for speedier performance.
Aside from the powertrain options, there would also be a redesigned work. Caddy hasn’t disclosed the details of their upcoming CTS V, but since the line has been the brand’s symbol of a modern vehicle, you can only expect the best from it.
Redesigned Outcome
Expect bigger wheels, depending on the trim levels. The biggest one would be 19 inches, with an LED brake light also given (it would be located within the trunk lid). The upcoming CTS V is more about functionality, so it is understandable if it doesn’t have enough artistic or aesthetic elements.
The interior cabin is about a premium feel and plush comfort. Premium features and materials would boost the driver’s and passengers’ comfort. Everything would be laid out and managed in an orderly manner that is super easy to access. Space is also generous, providing enough leg and also headroom.
Powertrain and Performance
It’s a good thing that the 2024 Cadillac CTS V will be available with three different powertrain options. The vehicle is packed with magnetic suspension (which is optional), delivering a well-tuned chassis and low curb weight, allowing it to accelerate most conveniently and quickly. Such an arrangement is also helpful to make it close to the top of the class.
Many say that the CTS V should be considered a worthy sports sedan because of its outstanding abilities, especially in critical aspects like acceleration and handling. The top trim levels would run on a V6 twin-turbo unit with a 4.2-liter capacity, reaching 60 mph within 4.4 seconds. The base models would be running on four cylinders turbocharged units with a 2.0-liter capacity, delivering 265 hp and 295 Nm of torque.
A V6 unit with a 3.6-liter capacity churning out 335 hp and 285 Nm of torque would be paired with an all-wheel driving system. This powertrain, however, is given as an optional pick. The smaller turbocharged unit can deliver more torque, yet the V6 team can generate smoother performance and a more consistent outcome for the entire rpm range.
Price and Release Date
In terms of price, the CTS V rear wheel version would likely be set at around $47,000. For the Luxury base model (the 2.0T type), the price may start at about $53,700 and increase steeply to $55,700 for the V6. The Premium Luxury would likely start at around $62,000, while the V Sport would be coming at a $63,000. The V Sport Premium Luxury is the highest trim (which makes it the most expensive one), costing you around $72,800.
The release date is still unknown, but since this CTS V is created as the 2024 model and would compete against 5 Series Beemer, expect it to arrive sometime in 2023. Once everything is ready, we will have more updated news about the 2024 Cadillac CTS V.
